Apprentice winner Alana Spencer was rushed to the hospital after falling off an eight-foot ladder and breaking four ribs.
Alana, owner of Alana’s Ridiculously Rich bakery business, was photographed tied to a bulky stretcher as paramedics carried her, with straps that divided her body in two and a headrest that held her neck in place.
The star was busy setting up a new coffee business in Wales after becoming famous as a BBC One show winner in 2016.
But things quickly turned sour on Wednesday, June 8 when he fell eight feet off a ladder and landed on metal rungs, which left him with broken ribs.
She is currently recovering at home, but it may take up to six weeks to fully recover.
Speaking to WalesOnline, Alana explained: “I love to be involved and involved, so I was just trying to decorate our upstairs seating area and completely lost my balance.
“I fell off a ladder and ended up breaking four ribs. I fell eight feet and landed on the metal ladder causing damage.
“We called an ambulance and they took me to the hospital. They tried to make me walk but I couldn’t. Eventually, they had to put me on a stretcher and take me downstairs. “
“I had a CT scan and was very lucky that there was no further damage as the broken ribs can be quite severe. I really feel very grateful ”.
Opening further on Instagram, he explained: “People often ask me why I insist on doing all my manual work and for years I’ve been told I should always hire professionals instead.
“Well, today, for the first time, I think I’m ready to admit … they might be right!” #FourBrokenRibs “.
Alana’s fans were quick to support her, writing: “Oh no! Hope you get better soon!”
Another joked, “Ahh little shit. Are you still cooking or what …?
As another person wrote, “4 broken ribs and you still have a smile on your face!” I hope you recover quickly! “
Alana’s new cafe will open later this month after Alana’s injury delayed him by a week, at St Catherine’s Walk in Carmarthen.
