EXCLUSIVE: Tattoo artist Abigail Rawlings admits she “hid” from fame when she first left the mansion, but she has a terrible warning for 2022 stars who are simply looking for influence on Instagram
Tattoo artist Abigail Rawlings didn’t expect to be catapulted to fame when she appeared in Love Island’s 2021 series, but that’s exactly what happened.
With the 2022 series already underway, Abi has a terrible warning for those “really busy” islanders who are simply desperate for fame and Instagram followers, rather than looking for true love.
She exclusively recounted how fame influenced her and what the stars of 2022 should keep in mind.
Abi explained: “If you usually go there for love, it doesn’t matter what happens. Say, for example, when there is a situation like, “I might be sent home here, so I’ll act weird and hope to stay.”
“I feel it’s really obvious when you do stuff like that, and people can see it, it shows you’re not authentic.

“So, if you really have the attitude, ‘I’m here for love, I don’t care about Instagram followers or the fame that might come with it,’ then I think you’re going to show who you really are.
“You won’t run into someone who makes a little effort to try and get some of this where they can. Basically, be authentic or people will find out.”
Abi admits she struggled with the sudden influx of followers and attention after leaving the village, and before Love Island she didn’t even have a personal Instagram account.

Abi continued: “When I first came out [of the villa] I certainly struggled a little, because I’ve never had so many eyes on me.
“Before Love Island, I only had a tattoo Instagram account that was a professional profile. I didn’t even have a private profile. But once on it, I didn’t want people to follow this page unless they were genuinely interested. .. in tattoos, so I created a personal account.
“It was all very new and I hid a bit to digest it all. At first I was very scared when strangers talked to me, and since they saw me on TV, they talked to me more like they were an old friend. from a stranger.

“It would confuse me, I would say: ‘I know you, did I have you tattooed?” “, He added.
Abi said her attitude has now changed, explaining, “Even though I’m having fun now, the funny thing is that I really enjoy talking to strangers and making friends with them.
“It’s funny how your perspective on something can change so much and make such a difference in your life. It’s wonderful !”
Love Island airs Monday through Friday at 9pm on ITV2.
