Oasis legend Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs shared an update with his devoted fans, revealing that he has completed chemotherapy treatment.

The guitarist and founding member of the legendary rock band announced in April this year that he had been diagnosed with tonsil cancer and was being treated.

Paul’s update comes just a week after teammate Liam Gallagher paid tribute to the star during his jaw-dropping homecoming show at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium.

At the start of his second song, Rock ‘N’ Roll Star, Liam said, “This is for our Boneheads.”

It now appears that the 56-year-old is looking forward after sharing a positive update.

He told fans, “Little update, I’m back in chemo tonight. This is my second and last chemo session, the first one has destroyed me, but I hope this gets better. “

“I’ve just completed half the treatment now, I’ve had 16 out of 30 radiation sessions and it hurts, but I’m still smiling, feeling positive and being myself.

“I’m counting the days now and I’ll finish the day after my birthday on the 24th.”

Liam Gallagher recently paid tribute to his bandmate during his performance at Etihad Stadium.

Paying homage to bandmate Liam, who recently performed in front of a sold out crowd at Knebworth and Etihad, Bonehead continued: “Thanks for all the support messages, they mean a lot, keep reading them. Hope the show’s. Etihad and Knebworth did you like those of you who attended, how good was it and how good did it sound?

“Until next year I will keep you updated, but I hope that the treatments end soon and a few months of recovery. A big hug to all of you xxxx.

The rock star revealed that she has completed chemotherapy.

The comments section of his upload was instantly flooded with good wishes from famous fans and friends.

Director and photographer Charlie Lightening wrote: “I’m thinking of you and can’t wait for you to come back on stage man.”

“I send you all my love @boneheadspage,” Rowetta added in the Happy Monday caption.

Earlier, a fan said, “Thanks for the update buddy! We’re all thinking of you and sending you love!”

“The strong and positive @boneheadspage loves it … Get out the other side in the blink of an eye,” commented a second.

While a third fan wrote: “I love you Bonehead, thanks for the update! I wish you all the best.”

Bonehead revealed last month that he was being treated at a cancer hospital, The Christie’s in Manchester, and shared his regret at not being able to perform at Knebworth with Liam.

He said: “See you soon, I’m sorry he won’t be at Knebworth or any of the concerts in the summer, but for those of you who will, have fun.”
