The series died along with the main character, but survived for several years.

Modern television is full of examples of great shows that were later unfairly ruined by their creators, but ‘Two and a Half Men’ arguably tops the rest. The first season of the sitcom premiered in 2003 and the show itself immediately caught everyone’s attention thanks to its fascinating plot. However, a few years later, something went completely wrong and disagreements between the protagonist and the creator of the series led to a complete collapse.

Central to the story is the carefree bachelor Charlie Harper, played by Charlie Sheen in the series. The hero lives his best life until his brother Alan invades it – the latter was kicked out of the house by his wife, so he has to ask Charlie for shelter.

As Alan moves into the living room of Charlie’s house, the latter becomes closer to his brother and his 10-year-old son, while the audience’s eyes change from a callous egoist to a loving and caring family man. However, “Two and a Half Men” did not have a happy ending – in season 8, Charlie is murdered and a billionaire, played by Ashton Kutcher, moves into his house.

Immediately after such a sharp plot twist, it became clear to the audience that there was no point in continuing the series, but the creator of the show, Chuck Lorre, thought differently – after arguing with Sheen, he tried story again, this time with a new main character.

Then something even stranger happened: in the 12th and final season finale, Charlie suddenly rose from the dead, and the viewer was told that he never died, but was simply held hostage by his stalker. The latest episodes of ‘Two and a Half Men’ feature Charlie as a vengeful monster, which was a huge disappointment for fans who had been watching the hero’s transformation for years – and hence the low ratings in 3.8 more than right.
