After hearing about such a high rating, the journalist decided to find out what Tarantino thought about another classic film series, Toy Story.

Pixar’s animated films seem to be the antithesis of Tarantino’s style, so many assumed the director would just laugh at the journalist’s question. To everyone’s surprise, Tarantino said he simply loves the franchise’s films. Granted, not all of them.

“As far as Toy Story goes, the third film is amazing. It’s one of the best films I’ve ever seen. And if you’ve seen the other two, you know they’re just masterpieces. But the thing is, Pixar came out with the fourth film a while later, and I don’t feel like watching it.” – said Tarantino.

Yes, the director liked the third installment of Toy Story so much that Pixar’s decision to release a fourth installment simply angered him – he decided that studio executives were simply cashing in on the success of previous cartoons.

Although many disagree with Tarantino’s opinion, the fourth installment of Toy Story is not only collected 1 billion dollars at the checkout and received almost perfectly 97% “fresh” from critics Rotten Tomatoes, but also won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature.

It seems that Tarantino needs to reconsider his categorical vision and give the fourth installment of Toy Story a second chance.
