Secret scandal.
The romantic comedy ‘It All Ends with Us’ became one of the most unexpected hits of 2024, collecting an incredible $334 million with a budget of 25 million. But the film starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has one major problem: it’s not a romantic comedy at all.
Yes, the film about a girl named Lily Bloom, who fell in love with neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid and then found out that her chosen one was a psychopathic abuser, was advertised as another romcom. The film itself, however, turned out to be a heavy drama that not everyone could see through.
Viewers were angry that the producers had misled them with trailers and posters for the film. False marketing was far from the only scandal surrounding ‘It Will All End With Us’.
Lively’s fans noticed that the film’s actors deliberately avoided director Justin Baldoni. At the film’s premiere, Baldoni posed for photos with just his wife, while Lively and the other actors took selfies together.
Additionally, fans discovered that Lively follows the social networks of all the actors in the film, but Baldoni never followed them.
It seems that the actors are deliberately trying to neutralize the director. And the reason why Lively decided to ignore Baldoni is still unknown.
Perhaps in the near future, Lively will explain to her fans why director and actor Baldoni was relegated to the background. Until then, fans can only guess at the reasons for the disagreement on the set of ‘It Will End With Us’.
The melodrama received good ratings from Kinopoisk users. 7.0 points. But it never became a hit in Russia – only 7,000 people rated it.
