Production on the series based on JK Rowling’s Harry Potter book series appears to have finally gotten off the ground, with HBO recently officially announcing a casting call for young actors to play the roles of Harry, Hermione, and Ron. Amid heated debate over who will ultimately become the new on-screen incarnation of the legendary trinity, fans of the Boy Who Lived books and movies have gone ahead and made their own proposals for other, equally important roles.
Thus, the candidacy of the star of “Oppenheimer” and “Peaky Blinders” Cillian Murphy suddenly became almost the best option for the main villain Voldemort – and fans are sure that the actor has every chance of grabbing the legendary role.
Despite HBO not officially confirming anything, rumors that Murphy could play Voldemort have been circulating for quite some time now – ever since the company announced that it would be working on a series based on the famous story.
And while HBO is currently busy casting the lead roles, most fans agree that Cillian Murphy could be the one to “freshen up” the image of the legendary villain, adding some novelty to the whole show.
