The action comedy set a new anti-record, posting the worst performance of even its lead actor’s career.
By mid-month, September’s film distribution was already rich in mega-successful hits and failed new releases – but the comedy thriller starring Dave Bautista cannot be classified in the former category.
A few days ago, “The Killer’s Game”, which was released worldwide, is still showing very disappointing results – with a budget of $30 million the movie just made money 2.5 million in its first weekend, becoming the worst start in Batista’s career (the new film even broke the actor’s previous anti-record – the fantastic action film “Hotel Artemis” with 3 million at the start of the film’s distribution).

However, the film isn’t as bad as it seems – despite its financial setbacks, ‘The Killer’s Game’ still appealed to many viewers, who rated the film 78% on Rotten Tomatoes (although many acknowledged that the film’s lack of marketing was a fatal flaw). Critics of “The Killer Game” were not pleased, giving only the action film 39% your approval.
The plot of the film revolves around an experienced hitman, Joe, who discovers that he is terminally ill. Then he decides not to torture himself and hires the same professional killers to kill him. Later Joe finds out that the hospital has switched the photos and that in fact nothing threatens his life, except those same hired killers who have already started their work.
