The video caused a strong reaction.
Showtime and Paramount+ have set a premiere date for the highly anticipated prequel.
The story, titled ‘Original Sin’, takes the viewer back to 1991, when an ordinary-looking college student, Dexter, embarks on a long journey to become an avenger and serial killer.
Unable to control his bloodthirsty impulses, he learns to channel his inner darkness in the right direction with the help of his adoptive father.
The moral compass for the hero becomes the Code, which calls for justice to be meted out only to criminals. This is a real challenge, as Morgan is going to intern with the Miami police department.

The lead role was played by The OA star Patrick Gibson, and his mentor Harry was played by Christian Slater.
The cast is completed by Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy), Molly Brown (Billions), Alex Shimizu (The Terror) and guest star Sarah Michelle Gellar.
The creators presented the first teaser, which sparked a lively discussion in the comments.
Many fans were happy that Michael C. Hall, who played Dexter on the original show, remained the narrator.
“I can’t wait to find out how James Doakes became the Bay Harbor Butcher,” one fan joked.
The audience also admired the casting director’s work when they saw the young Lagertha and Batista. They were also amazed by the decisions of the marketers who chose the music of the video:
“I never expected to hear Satisfaction in a teaser, especially not in Dexter. But okay.”
And it only takes 30 seconds, you can only imagine what the project as a whole has in store.
This will be announced soon December 13 on Paramount+.
