One of Martin’s most popular characters will soon be hitting the screens.
Although the second season of ‘House of the Dragon’ came out noticeably worse than the first part of the spin-off ‘Game of Thrones’, the writers still tried to saturate the continuation of the Targaryen civil war story with interesting “Easter eggs” and references.
But no one missed one of the major teasers for season two.
Throughout the series, Jacaerys Velaryon worried about his paternity – his mother, Rhaenyra, assured everyone that he was the son of Laenor Velaryon. Although everyone at court understood perfectly well that Jace’s real father was Harvin Strong.

To reassure Jace, Baela Targaryen remarked that he would certainly not be the first bastard to be raised as king. The sentence sounds innocent enough, but George R. R. Martin’s most devoted fans immediately realized that she was teasing the appearance of one of the most important characters in the Westeros saga: Orys Baratheon.
Orys lived during the time of Aegon the Conqueror and is rumored to be his illegitimate brother. His parents are Aerion Targaryen and a commoner. However, this did not stop him from becoming the Hand of the King and the founder of the glorious Baratheon dynasty.

Fans are certain that in the second season of “House of the Dragon” the name Orisa was not mentioned by chance.
HBO is already developing a Game of Thrones spin-off set in the time of Aegon the Conqueror, and Orys will certainly play a major role in that series.
House of the Dragon has already been renewed for seasons three and four, but we shouldn’t expect the Targaryens to return until 2026.
