The Boys Final is upon us and the stakes are higher than ever.

However, instead of pleasant excitement, the audience is gripped by gnawing fear, all because of the failure of the fourth season.

From the very first minutes, viewers sensed something was wrong, and by the final episodes they realized the series had returned to where it started.

Despite their best efforts, the writers couldn’t distract from the lack of fresh ideas, character motivation, and a crazy plot. Failing to come up with new conflicts, they only artificially complicated the old ones.

And the worst part is how new characters were introduced into the story.

Fireweed’s sole purpose was to get revenge on Starlight for childhood grievances, and Huey’s mother was only brought back to create unnecessary drama.

At some point, the cynical and dynamic satire turned into a soap opera, where everyone competes to see who has had the hardest time in life.

The adventures of Dean and Sam Winchester also started out as a mystical detective story that kept you in suspense and made you tremble in the dark.

Like the “supernaturals,” “The Boys” attracted a global audience with its courage and creative approach to familiar plots, but somewhere along the way it lost its best bits.

The chances of a grand ending to the show are getting smaller, but they do exist. Let’s believe and wait.
