The Queen withdrew from the National Thanksgiving service on Friday at St Paul’s Cathedral because she felt “some discomfort” on the balcony during an overpass.
Piers Morgan couldn’t help but tease Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during the Platinum Jubilee.
The TalkTV presenter hinted that the “tension” between members of the royal family could worsen due to the Queen’s confirmed absence from the National Thanksgiving Service on Friday, June 3 at St Paul’s Cathedral.
Buckingham Palace confirmed that the monarch, who is celebrating 70 years on the throne, will be absent tomorrow after leaving “very reluctantly” after suffering “some hardships” during Thursday’s jubilee celebrations.
The full statement added, “Given the travel and activities required to attend tomorrow’s National Thanksgiving service in St. Paul’s Cathedral, Her Majesty concluded, with great reluctance, that she would not attend.”
But speaking on his talk show, Piers suggested that the “tension” between the queen and Harry and Meghan could get worse without the queen as the “glue” to hold them all together.

Piers said palace sources told him the Trooping of the Color parade had been “tense” backstage, describing the atmosphere as “freezing”.
He said, “The rest of the family went into the garden and they were going out and [Meghan and Harry] he just disappeared.
“So there is already a lot of tension there and the only glue that seems in all tension is the queen, and she won’t be there. [tomorrow]! “
Rider and Piers host Frankie Dettori added, “When you watch Queen’s schedule for the next three or four days it’s just too much and we forget she’s 96 years old.

“And he will also miss Saturday’s derby, which is probably the first time in over 50 years. But we all wish him the best and maybe he’s controlling himself a little … I think we’re asking a lot of him.
In a patriotic statement at the end of the show, Piers said, “What a day, all my life I’ve only had one queen.
“Elizabeth II has been leading this country for every second I have been live, many more seconds in fact. There are not many people on the planet who have not lived most of their life with her as the monarch of this country.
“It obviously means something for everyone and seeing her today after all the worries about her health, her mobility, her contact with Covid”.

He added in a moving statement that “this will surely be this queen’s last jubilee”.
Piers continued: “Seeing her walk away with a big smile, wearing Tom Cruise Maverick sunglasses, to greet her adoring crowd is a sight I will never forget.
“This is Britain’s first platinum jubilee, it may be the last we see. This will unfortunately unfortunately be the last jubilee for this queen and I am grateful to have had this opportunity to show her that we love her, respect her and what she means to us and how important she has been to Great Britain. “
