He is best known for his wit, impressive general knowledge, and intimidating character as the Dark Destroyer in the popular ITV game show.

Before making a name for himself in The Chase, Shaun Wallace also showed his mind-blowing talent when he won Mastermind in 2004 and finished 276th at the World Quiz Championships in 2010.

But away from the cameras, the 61-year-old game show pro lives a very different life and rarely talks about his incredible career outside of his busy daytime game show job.

In addition to his role as a hunter on Bradley Walsh’s question and answer show, he also works as a lawyer and speaker in his spare time.

As the reality star prepares to celebrate her 62nd birthday, she takes a look at her real work outside the studio.

Outside of his job at The Chase, Shaun Wallace works as a criminal lawyer.

Away from the cameras, Shaun works as a trained attorney and continues to practice law as he continues to juggle his job as a criminal defense attorney and his role on the ITV show.

Called to the Bar in 1984, Shaun completed his tutelage in 1986 and embarked on a successful legal career as an attorney.

In an interview with Law.ac.uk, the professional revealed that he was inspired to pursue the profession by watching TV shows like Rumpole Of The Bailey in his youth.



The professional candidate also works as a professor of law.

Shaun also works as a speaker and regularly devotes much of his time to social enterprise work, lecturing on aspects of the law at schools, universities and other institutions.

But things weren't easy for the lawyer, after he was fined £ 2,500.

But it hasn’t always been easy for Shaun in court after being fined £ 2,500 several years ago for failing to adequately advise a man stabbed in a ‘vigilante’.

In 2013, the star took to court and arbitration after failing to adequately advise 22-year-old Jamie McCarthy while representing him in court.

McCarthy, of Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, was jailed for nine years after admitting he was wounded with intent to cause serious personal injury and to have an offensive weapon.

He then appealed to the High Court in July 2015, arguing that his case had been “incompetently prepared by his representatives at trial”.

Following his appeal, McCarthy’s sentence was reduced to a total of six years after the charge of intentional injury was reduced to a misdemeanor.

The court heard that Wallace agreed that holding preliminary conferences with McCarthy without an attorney present or notified constituted professional misconduct.

He admitted four counts for failing to act with reasonable conscience, diligence and skill.

Wallace was fined £ 250 each for lecturing with a client without the presence of a lawyer and failing to adequately explain the strength of the prosecution’s case.

He was fined an additional £ 1,000 each for failing to file his client’s guilty plea and not making sure his client understood the charge he was pleading guilty to.

The reality star has preferred to keep her private life out of the spotlight ever since she became a familiar face on the big screen.

He recently got involved in a strange story after false claims about his personal life were posted on Wikipedia.

His page on the popular site incorrectly stated that he was married to a woman named Matilda Bray.

But the problem with the site is that any user can refresh the page, so it’s not clear where the fake information is coming from.

Thankfully, the fake comment was later removed from the alleged single site.
