X Factor EXCLUSIVE 2016 winner Matt Terry shared his hopes of working with One Direction’s Zayn Malik and would choose him from the rest of the group to work with.
X Factor winner Matt Terry has revealed that he would love to work with former One Direction star Zayn Malik.
The singer won the show in 2016 and has built a successful singing career ever since.
Chat exclusively with show business reporter Carly Hacon at a facebook liverevealed who he would choose to collaborate with from the guys at 1D.
Matt, 28, said, “I think Zayn … last year I wrote a whole album that I haven’t released or anything, but it’s very RnB-style. I feel the closest to that would be Zayn.”
Host Carly then showed a photo of himself standing with Louis from 1D, where the pair looked strikingly similar.
Then he said, “I thought you were gonna throw Louis in there.”
“Cor yes, look at us, we look like children, I also want to say a lot of love for him. But I think Zayn is like the music I listen to. “
It comes after 1D star Liam Payne admitted that he thought he had the band members ‘biggest solo hit since the band disbanded, stating that Strip That Down outperformed other 1D stars’ singles.
The comment sparked a reaction from fans, with many insisting that Liam was defeated by both Zayn Malik with Pillowtalk and Harry Styles with Sign of the Time.

Zayn may not have been the obvious choice after being accused of persecuting Yolanda Hadid, the grandmother of his son and mother of ex Gigi Hadid, following an alleged accident in September 2021.
Matt is currently starring in the musical Rock Of Ages as Stacee Jaxx and fans across the UK can see him in a theater near him.
Speaking about his role, Matt said: “It’s my third musical, I come from a theatrical background, so it’s something I really wanted to do. I will play Stacee Jacks, who Tom Cruise played in the film. “
But is he channeling his inner Tom Cruise on stage?
“No, actually my inspiration for this character is half Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean and half Harry Styles, it’s like that rock star vibe. And very Jack Sparrow, “he explained.
