EXCLUSIVE: Meghan Markle’s former friend Lizzie Cundy says the return of former actress and husband Prince Harry to the UK will eclipse the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
The return of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee could be an afterthought, says Lizzie Cundy.
The TV host was friends with the former Suits actress before she began a relationship with Prince Harry, and Meghan eventually cut off all contact with her famous British friends.
As part of Queen Elizabeth’s 70th birthday celebration from the throne, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will publicly return to London, although they have previously claimed it was unsure.
Since stepping down as senior royals in 2020, they’ve struck a mega deal with streaming giant Netflix to produce TV shows and movies.

Speaking exclusively to, Lizzie, 54, said, “It’s about making the queen shine in her platinum jubilee, 70 years of service.
“Maybe they could take a page out of the Queen’s book and see how they should behave.
“They decided they weren’t real, they didn’t want to work in the royal family, they didn’t want to perform their royal duties, so they should have the decency I feel to stay away from.”

Lizzie continued: “They should let the queen have fun and not let them pay attention to them, they know the attention will be on them, she knows exactly what she is doing.
“I think they’ll take the queen’s shine away, I really pray they don’t.
“The Royals are very aware of what they are doing, but I don’t think they will be stopped.”

The Meghan and Harry’s Netflix crews received the ultimate royal affront after not receiving accreditation for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations over the weekend.
Sources say the team following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will face harsh words if they try to film their next trip to the UK.
The Telegraph reported that sources said the crew would be “kicked out” if they attempted to film or install equipment in public spaces.

Upon returning to England for the festivities, Harry and Meghan suffered a severe blow from the Queen who avoided them from the famous appearance at Buckingham Palace.
After “much consideration”, the monarch announced that only high-ranking members of the House of Windsors will have their “balcony moment”.
Her Majesty was accompanied by Prince Charles, Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William, Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex, Princess Anne and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, as well as her cousin Prince Edward, Duke by Kent.
