There are already 90 (!) episodes in the series.

Star Wars has many fans all over the world. And in India, it seems that this universe is especially passionately loved, because they even filmed their remake here. We tell you what became of it.

What is the name of the Indian version?

It was called “Aryaman – Warrior of the Universe.” And this is not just a movie, but a whole series. It was released on screens in 2002 and there were 90 episodes in it.

In general, the showrunners tried to maintain the authenticity of George Lucas’ universe. For example, in the very first minutes, the well-known screensaver “In a Galaxy Far, Far Away…” appears. Granted, it is in Hindi and lasts six full minutes. After such a long introduction, the viewer can admire the epic battle with lightsabers, which make a funny hissing sound when they are hit.

Of course, many recognizable details and characters remain here too. What is a robot or Master Yoda worth? Look how cute they are.

The graphics are of course just hugging and crying. Even adjusted for 2002. All this just makes you laugh and reminds you of old computer games, when instead of cool pictures there were solid pixels.

By the way, despite all the surreal events in the series, the project was rated quite well on IMDb. It received 5.6 points. But in Russia, the audience is unanimous in their opinion – everyone was not happy with what they saw:

“This is a nightmare horror. Or a horrible nightmare!

“It’s creepy, Indians blurt out everything from Hollywood. The same terminator is also an Indian laugh, ‘

“And I looked a little bit. Well, I don’t even know what to say. Is this nonsense or some kind of miracle? In short, Indians are from another planet,”

“What a horror, the apotheosis of delirium. How are they without dancing? This goes against all logic of Bollywood!”

“I watched episode #1. Well, what can we say – powerful amateur performances!!! Just look at this: an epileptic robot, a source house, and an elderly Jedi student-Stallone-Rambo!”
