The great thing is that with the help of films you can easily immerse yourself in any atmosphere. For example, to get the feeling that you are in a seaside resort, and not in a stuffy room next to a computer. If you are tired of work (or something else) and there is no holiday in sight, here are two films and a series to distract you.
“Nice holidays”, 2024
A fresh French film, released in late June 2024. The plot revolves around a heroine named Justine. Her son Henri threatens to move in with his father, from whom she has been separated for a long time. And instead of throwing tantrums, Justine takes her son, her lover Ludo and stepson Joseph to the Atlantic coast. Surprisingly, the talents of each family member are revealed along the way. And as a result, where there were constant conflicts, harmony begins to reign. A great good film to brighten up the evening.
“Summer Summer”, series, 2020-2024
The network has called the first season of this Italian series “Netflix’s eight-episode summer manifesto”. Young Summer is looking for a part-time job to help her parents. At the same time, she dreams of leaving her city one day, so love is not included in her plans. But then she meets Alessandro, a former racing driver who is facing a crisis in his life. The couple falls in love and now they can’t care about anything, except today. A light love story based on the novel “Three Meters Above the Sky”.
“Hanging in Palm Springs”, 2020
Not super new, but a little-known film that is definitely worth watching. Miles and Sarah meet at a wedding and suddenly find themselves stuck in a time loop. They live the same day over and over again. They are attracted to each other, but certain circumstances threaten their budding romance.
