You’ve probably wasted this Easter egg every time.

Fans of ‘Attack on Titan’ waited for the anime’s finale in a way that they probably don’t even wait for the new year. Some people deliberately didn’t finish the manga, while others simply waited to see the epic conclusion in all its glory. What if we told you that the outcome of the first season was spoiled?

What did you miss?

First, let’s refresh our memory: the story ends with Mikasa killing Eren anyway. She kisses him goodbye and cuts off his head. Then she meets the patriarch Ymir, and she disappears into the sky and finally finds peace. It seems that peace reigns. How long it will last and whether it was worth all those fights is another question. Now back to the spoilers. Do you remember what happened in the ending theme of the second half of the first season?

We are sure that most of you have not even watched them. But in vain, because besides cool soundtracks, there are quite a few easter eggs hidden there. And one of them refers to the events of the finale.

Note the shots where all the characters are shown against the backdrop of walls with drawings. But we don’t need everyone, we’re only interested in Mikasa. She’s standing in front of a drawing of a praying mantis or, more likely, a female praying mantis. Remember when they bite the heads off the males? And considering what Mikasa had to do to save humanity, this could be a good spoiler.

But of course, no one could immediately recognize this reference. The first season of the anime was released in 2013, and the manga itself ended only in 2021. It is logical that the majority of viewers did not attach any importance to the drawing. So only viewers with very cool psychic abilities could predict the outcome by looking at a wall.
