We are not waiting for the sequel to ‘The Game’, but are going to enjoy a hearty lunch.

The full-fledged hero of both parts of “Major Thunder” was shawarma-shawarma. It is this cherished scroll that the character of Tikhon Zhiznevsky takes up when he needs strength or even just while relaxing.

There are dozens of “shava” recipes, but “Gromovskaya” has its own twist. Terribly. A lot of. Garlic.

Ingredients for shawarma:

– Lavash – 4 pieces

– Chicken thigh fillet – 500 g

– Fresh cucumbers – 2-3 pieces (can be replaced with pickled ones)

– Tomatoes – 2 pcs

– Young white cabbage – 200 g (you can use iceberg lettuce)

– Korean carrots – 100 g

– Greens (parsley, dill) – to taste

– Adjika – to taste

Ingredients for the sauce:

– Yolks – 2 pcs

– Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon

– Mustard – 1 teaspoon

– Vegetable oil – 4 tablespoons

– Garlic – 5 cloves

– Salt – to taste

Cooking steps

Preparing the chicken:

– Cut the chicken thigh fillet into small pieces.

– Salt and pepper to taste, add a little vegetable oil and stir.

– Fry the chicken in a pan until golden brown.

Preparation of the sauce:

– Mix the yolks, lemon juice and mustard in a bowl.

– Gradually add vegetable oil and whisk continuously until the sauce becomes thick and smooth.

– Finely chop the garlic and add it to the sauce. Add salt to taste and mix well.

Important! If you don’t like the classic sauce, we have selected five recipes for a special dressing that will decorate your shawarma.

Preparing vegetables:

– Cut the cucumbers and tomatoes into thin slices.

– Finely chop the cabbage or iceberg lettuce.

– Finely chop the greens.

Shawarma assembly:

– Place the pita bread on the work surface.

– Place the chicken in the center of the pita bread.

– Add chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbage, Korean carrots and greens.

– Pour the sauce over it and add a little adjika to taste.

Packing the shawarma:

– Fold the bottom of the pita bread up, then fold the sides in and roll the pita bread into a tight roll.

– If desired, you can heat the shawarma slightly in a dry frying pan or grill it until it becomes crispy.
