The actor never wanted to be a Hollywood star.

With his film adaptation of House, Hugh Laurie wrote his name forever in the hall of fame of the best British actors, but after the medical show’s finale in 2012 he didn’t really appear on the posters of major premieres. Fortunately, the artist is not shy about tackling modest projects, many of which he has collected over the past twelve years.

In “The Night Manager” Laurie found herself in the middle of a confrontation between an international organized crime group and British intelligence, and the artist’s partners in this difficult case were Tom Hiddleston and the charming Elizabeth Debicki.

In Catch-22, Hugh took on the role of a stern and uncompromising military officer commanding unruly young men. Amazing plot twists are diluted with characteristic British humour.

In Tehran, Hugh Laurie’s character only appears in the third season, but there is something to see even without him. An Israeli spy desperately tries to save the world from a nuclear apocalypse, while doing everything possible not to lose her head.

‘Slippery Slope’ is a project about an ambitious politician whose affairs are only just taking off, and also about a femme fatale who risks derailing the entire promising career of the hero Laurie.

Finally, Hugh Laurie’s most special role is the voice of a cat in the cartoon ‘The Amazing Maurice’. The project has an impressive cast: the ‘House’ star is joined by his colleagues from ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Doctor Who?’ and Marvel movies.
