Everything is worse than Kate: the Duchess of York, who lost her breast, Sarah Ferguson talked about the fight against cancer

A British woman was struck by two types of cancer at the same time.

Sarah Ferguson was diagnosed with a terrible diagnosis exactly one year ago: breast cancer. It seemed that things could not get worse, but a few months later doctors again discovered a terrible disease in the ex-wife of Prince Andrew.

Last year, the Duchess of York underwent breast removal surgery and then reconstruction procedures after a mastectomy. During the second of them, doctors discovered strange spots on the British woman’s skin, which turned out to be symptoms of melanoma.

Both oncologies appeared in the early stages, and therefore, after all the necessary operations, Ferguson was able to return to normal life. In a new episode of her podcast, Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah, Sarah shared details about her recovery.

“I have to get checked regularly and apply sunscreen to prevent sunburn. “I don’t do immunotherapy, I don’t do any medications and I don’t do chemotherapy, which I’m very grateful for, but one way or another I’m going to have to have cancer treatment for the rest of my life.”

Despite the difficult diagnoses, the Duchess began to appear in public immediately after the most complex surgical interventions and practically did not change her appearance, except that she began to look more tired.

In turn, Kate Middleton, whose cancer was discovered during abdominal surgery, will not need a mastectomy, according to British insiders, and will only “get away” with courses of preventive chemotherapy and immunotherapy, which began at the end of February this year. .
