Former Love Island bombshell Savanna Darnell shed light on her experience as she hopes to issue a stern warning to singles in 2022.

The reality star who appeared on Casa Amor in 2018 said that once the time to leave the famous Majorcan villa runs out, it’s not all as glamorous as you think.

Savanna, 26, says since leaving the mansion she has struggled with her mental health after being “young” and “naive” when she trusted the bosses behind the ITV2 dating show.

The star claims that the bosses went by her direct messages on Instagram and told her she would be entering the mansion as a member of the original cast.

Speaking of his experience, he said OK! Magazine: “I let Love Island take control of my whole life that year, I gave up so much. But I guess I’m just a 21-year-old naive at the time.

“They kept telling me how much they loved me, how awesome I would be and how much they appreciated how different I was because I wore Vans to auditions when most of the other girls wore heels.

“I felt like they were totally on my side.”



Savanna claims she was told she would be part of the original Love Island lineup

Savanna made the decision to enter Love Island, suspending her career in musical theater before flying to Mallorca to undergo the rigorous pre-show quarantine process.

However, after passing her 40s, Savanna learned that she was no longer part of the original roster and was sent back to the UK.

Just three weeks later, she was sent back to Spain to be a bombshell for Casa Amor.

However, Savanna claims that when she returned to Spain, the producers told her she would have plenty of time on the air while she was in the village.

Unfortunately, a few days after first entering the house, she failed to bond with her celibate companions and was expelled, after appearing in a small number of scenes.

Reflecting on this, she said: “I was working around the clock trying to make a connection, I ended up spending a lot of time with Wes Nelson and we shared a bed last night.



The star is now seeking therapy after her time on the show.

“He told me he would take me to the main villa, but the next day he changed his mind.”

Savanna says that after seeing the footage, she appeared in “almost no” scenes.

Now he says he “regrets” his appearance and that he wasted “a lot of time and energy” on the show and recently went to therapy.
