Between book releases and critical comments on social media, the horror king compiles several lists of films, both recommended and not worth watching. Sometimes they include film adaptations of his own work, and sometimes they include projects about which it is better not to get angry with the large fan base.
These 10 movies, according to Stephen King, are so bad they don’t even deserve discussion:
The writer is rarely lucky with adaptations of his works: “Night Shift”, “The Dark Tower”, “The Stand” are often included in the ratings of the worst film adaptations and are not liked by the audience. King himself added numerous sequels to Children of the Corn, as well as his only directorial effort, Maximum Overdrive. Not only did he call the film “idiotic,” but it even received a Golden Raspberry nomination for Worst Production.
King’s hatred of the science fiction comedy Mars Attacks! aroused greater understanding among viewers, as the film received conflicting reviews in the year of release. However, over the years the film has earned the status of a cult film, which fans are now ready to defend against any attacks.
Much more aggressive was the response from millions of fans of the Twilight Saga. The writer not only cursed the entire series of books, but also Stephenie Meyer, humiliatingly comparing her to “Harry Potter” creator JK Rowling. The fans could not stand the insult and reminded King that he himself could only boast of a few works, which he miraculously did not spoil with disgusting endings.
