Viewers will have something to discuss.
The fierce competition in the film market has led not only to the emergence of tired sequels, but also to the implementation of unique ideas. Fans of the science fiction genre will be able to appreciate several new products at once this year, which will certainly spark heated discussions.
We have collected 8 of the most notable projects, some of which have already appeared on screens:

The first part of Dune did impressively at the box office and received many positive reviews. Naturally, there were some critical reviews: fans of Frank Herbert’s work noted that the filmmakers had poorly adapted the plot, twisted key moments and unnecessarily changed the gender of the characters. All this only worsened the final impressions. The second part, judging by the estimates, surpassed the first not only in special effects and battle scenes, but also in plot holes.
One of the most anticipated prequels was without a doubt Furiosa: The Mad Max Chronicles. The film will premiere at the end of May, but the audience’s reactions to the trailers speak for themselves. Fans are thrilled with how George Miller brought his vision to life and are confident they are in for an incredible adventure.
The same can’t be said about Alien fans. After “Prometheus”, viewers unanimously condemned the creators for greed and disrespect for the original, and also asked to leave the story of xenomorphs alone. However, Ridley Scott and his team decided to try their luck again. In August, Alien: Romulus will be released on the big screen, which will tell about the actions that happened between the first two parts of the franchise.
