Chaka Khan’s Children: Meet his son and daughter

music legend Chaka Khan (born Yvette Marie Stevens) was recently inducted into the 2023 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the historic moment will air during the induction ceremony on ABC on January 1. The result comes in the midst of a truly monumental career: he won 10 Grammy Awards between 1975 and 2008, out of 22 nominations. In 1998, she was awarded the Lena Horne Career Achievement Award at the Soul Train Awards, and she received a similar honor in 2009 as the distinguished recipient of the Legends Career Achievement Award.

Indira Millini

Indira Millini He was born to Chaka and Rahsaan Morris in 1973, after Chaka began a brief marriage with Hassan Khan which ended in 1971. He clearly loves his only daughter and took to Instagram on December 21, 2020 to honor her on her birthday. “Happy, happy birthday to my little Indira Khan (I’m the only one who calls her Milini), I love you,” she captioned the sweet montage of throwback photos.

And in a 2015 Facebook post, Chaka gushed about her talented daughter ahead of a movie role. “I am very proud that my daughter, Indira Milini Khan, she will wear it with me next time Mike Howard “Movie!!,” she captioned a photo of her daughter in a makeup chair getting her hair done.

Indira is credited for a role in the 2016 film, Love Under New Management: The Miki Howard Story. He is also a musical artist, having inherited his mother’s powerful voice.

Damien Holland

Chaka welcomed her son, Damien HollandShe is now 44 years old and married to her second husband Ricardo Holland, whom he married in 1976. Damien has reportedly led a troubled life: he was accused of murder in 2006, killing a teenager named Christopher Bailey, although he was acquitted because the incident was accidental and occurred during an argument. His mother would testify on his behalf at the trial.

Although the criminal trial did not result in a conviction, a civil trial found him liable for Bailey’s death and he was ordered to pay $1.3 million in a wrongful death lawsuit. And in 2015, TMZ reported that Damien was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle after he was discovered by police in a stolen Audi Q5 in Beverly Hills. Chaka was granted custody of Damien’s daughter in 2011, according to TMZ, when she was 10 years old.

What did Chaka Khan say about family?

Although little is known about his family life, he admitted in a December 2023 interview that he has great-grandchildren and wants to spend more time with them. “Some people, that’s all they have, you know?” She explained that she will not tour in the future during an interview with Rolling Stone. “I have a rich life**.
