Braith Anasta’s girlfriend, Rachael Lee, is raising awareness about skin cancer after being diagnosed with melanoma in 2020.
The 34-year-old personal trainer revealed scars from the melanoma removal when she did a skin exam Wednesday and urged others to do the same.
Rachael explained that she’s been getting her skin checked every three months since she was scared of cancer two years ago, and she said she “literally saved my life.”

‘Get your skin checked! I got mine early [and] literally saved my life!’ Rachael, who received stomach melanoma in November 2020, said.
The woman, who shared an Instagram photo before the small lesion was removed, added that she spent hours in the sun in a bikini without using sunscreen.

Be ready every summer. I was the first and last person to always be outdoors, I never put on sunscreen, I didn’t even put it on my face because I always tanned well,” Rachael said.
“Everybody told me I’d get skin cancer if I lay in the sun, and I just thought, ‘Well, you have to look for something,’ I thought it would be the late 1980s.”
Rachael admitted that her demeanor was “very naive” and that she had precancerous cells and melanoma removed from her stomach when she was finally in her early 30s.

Rachael said she now always wears sunscreen and is fully exposed to the sun, describing it as “a big change in her life”.
“Skin cancer is the number one cancer in my day… wild. I would never have noticed mine. just because i got it [twice] “I’ve been doing annual skin checks since my early twenties,” she said.
‘Don’t get burned! And have your skin checked regularly. I have a constant worry in the back of my mind and I am happy! ‘
Rachael spoke with the Daily Telegraph in November 2020 about her diagnosis of stage one melanoma.
She said she was “crying in front of the kids” when she first heard the news.

Rachael had her melanoma removed but told her to stay out of the sun and not go to the beach in a bikini.
The mother of two is engaged to retired NRL star sports agent Braith Anasta, whom she got engaged in October 2019.
Braith, 40, who was married to former soap opera actress Jodi Gordon from 2012-2015, started dating Rachael in 2016.
The couple are the parents of their daughter Gigi.
Braith also shares a daughter, Aleeia, with Jodi, and Rachael has an eldest son named Addison from a previous relationship.
