Kyle Sandilands has revealed he will be enjoying a quiet Christmas this year despite recently signing a historic $200 million radio deal with co-presenter Jackie “O” Henderson.

The radio shock jock, 52, and his wife Tegan Kynaston, 37, will celebrate the holiday on the New South Wales Central Coast.

He plans to spend time teaching his 1-year-old son, Otto, to swim.

“I can’t think of anything worse than these celebrities hanging around with toffee noses,” Kyle told Perth Now on Saturday.

“At Christmas it’s easier to be with family because you can just lie there, drool and eat as much as you want. “I probably won’t go out, I’ll probably sit in the air conditioning and complain,” he added.

This comes after Kyle and Jackie O recently signed a record-breaking 10-year, $200 million deal that will keep them on the air until 2034.

The new deal, which expires in 2024, means both breakfast radio stars will earn $10 million a year as they expand into the Melbourne market.

In a statement celebrating the historic contract extension, Kyle said: “Fans of the show will be delighted to hear that this ten-year contract is the longest radio contract in Australian history.”

“Love us or loathe us, Jackie and I will continue our politically incorrect nonsense for a long time to come.”

He added: “We would like to thank the listeners. Staff. All customers. Even senior management would agree. “You actually did something brilliant.”

According to the Financial Review, Kyle and Jackie’s contracts include “a base salary, a percentage of sales above what is now earned — known as ‘incremental growth,’ and sign-on bonuses consisting primarily of ARN stock.”

ARN managing director Ciaran Davis said expanding Kyle and Jackie’s show to Melbourne would “attract new audiences and increase commercial opportunities”.

“Melbourne is the largest radio advertising market in Australia and represents an opportunity for ARN Media to grow viewership and revenue on KIIS 101.1,” he said.

“Kyle and Jackie O have developed into a strong brand that contributes significantly to ARN’s commercial success and this new agreement strategically positions us for long-term growth beyond radio.”
