Bradley Cooper receives the Santa Barbara Film Festival’s Outstanding Artist of the Year award

With his role as musical icon Leonard Bernstein in Netflix master Bradley Cooper has received rave reviews since the movie opened in Venice in September and adds another laurel when the Santa Barbara Film Festival names him the winner of the Outstanding Artist of the Year award. It will be presented to the star at a tribute at the Arlington Theater on February 8, 2024.

Cooper not only co-starred with Carey Mulligan in the film, but also directed, wrote and produced it master, he takes over the management for the second time. Nine-time Oscar nominee, Grammy winner and Tony nominee, Cooper’s directorial debut a star is born He also co-wrote, produced, starred in and directed the film and received eight Oscar nominations. Following the success of his production work, Cooper founded his production company Lea Pictures in 2020.

“He is a Renaissance man—a distinguished artist indeed,” noted SBIFF Executive Director Roger Durling.

Past SBIFF Outstanding Performer Of The Year honorees include Cate Blanchett, Sacha Baron Cohen, Adam Driver, Jennifer Lawrence, Angelina Jolie, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron and more.

The 39th Santa Barbara Film Festival runs from February 7th to 17th.
