The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has announced four days of celebrations honoring individuals from the daytime television community, as well as children and families.
Emmy Awards ceremonies produced by NATAS include the Daytime Emmy Awards Luncheon for Creative Arts & Lifestyle (12:00 p.m., Dec. 16), the Second Annual Kids & Family Emmy Awards Dinner (8:00 p.m. PT, Dec. 16) and the second annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards and Board of Trustees Gala (5 p.m. PT, Dec. 17).
All three Emmy ceremonies will take place at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles. NATAS opens the weekend with a private luncheon in honor of the 2023 Day and Child and Family members who were inducted into the Gold & Silver Circle Honor Society on Thursday, December 14.
Maury Povich, previously announced as a Daytime Emmys Lifetime Achievement Honoree, will receive his award during the Daytime Creative Arts & Lifestyle ceremony.
The Daytime Emmy nominations were announced in April, while the Kids and Family nominations were announced on November 2. The 50th Daytime Emmy Awards and Creative Arts & Lifestyle ceremony was originally scheduled for June, but was postponed due to the strikes.
No date has been set yet for the Daytime Emmys on CBS.
“We are pleased to once again recognize the writers, artists and other creators who inspire and entertain audiences of all ages,” said Adam Sharp, president and CEO of NATAS. “We look forward to a weekend of fun that highlights the amazing lineup of content that is changing viewers’ lives.”
