Today host Allison Langdon is ‘not happy’ being overlooked by Channel Nine in her election night duties

Host Allison Langdon was unimpressed by Channel Nine’s decision to use Melbourne correspondent Alicia Loxley to cover election night.

According to the Sunday Telegraph, Allison, 42, was “not happy” with her coveted election night performance alongside world-class Sydney evening news anchor Peter Overton, who was handed over to another presenter.

Langdon was reportedly so disappointed with Loxley’s new role that two weeks ago, Nine’s news director expressed his displeasure to Darren Wick.

Nine denied the allegations, with a spokesperson insisting that Langdon had no “whims”.

The Today Show lost another ratings battle earlier this month.

The breakfast show was third this week, after its daily rivals Channel Seven’s Sunrise and ABC’s News Breakfast, the Guardian reported.

The review slide was documented by ÖzTAM and it was another bad news for the show.

According to a report in The Sunday Telegraph, executives plan to put “everything but the sink” on the agenda.

A source close to the breakfast show says the bosses are planning to make some changes, including Scherri-Lee Biggs as a regular guest at the time.

Entertainment reporter Brooke Boney may also be a “traveling reporter” for the show, according to the report.

However, the source told the broadcast that this wasn’t bad news for the show, and Nine claimed to have found her “mojo” again this year.

“He found his mojo today,” said the sole source.
