The musician’s death certificate says he had previously been diagnosed with a “metastatic malignancy of unknown primary origin,” meaning the cancer had spread throughout his body but where it originated was not known, according to the National Cancer Institute. . .
Christine died at Charing Cross Hospital in London. Following her passing, her family shared a touching post on Instagram to let fans know the sad news. “On behalf of Christine McVie’s family, it is with heavy hearts that we inform you of Christine’s passing. He passed away peacefully in hospital this morning, Wednesday 30 November 2022, after a short illness,” reads the statement. “He was in the company of his family. We kindly ask you to respect the privacy of the family at this extremely painful time and all to hold Christine in their hearts and remember the life of an incredible human being and a revered musician who was universally loved.”
That same day, Fleetwood Mac wrote a tribute to his friend on social media. “There are no words to describe the sadness over the passing of Christine McVie,” the band began. “She was very unique and special and talented beyond measure. She was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life.”

The statement continued, “We have been very lucky to have a life with her. Individually and together, we deeply appreciate Christine and are grateful for the wonderful memories we have. She will be greatly missed.
“This is a day when my sweet friend Christine McVie took flight…and left us earth people, listening with bated breath to the sounds of that ‘bird singing’…reminding us all what love is all around us. this precious life. bestowed upon us”, co-founder of Fleetwood Mac Mick Fleetwood he wrote in his post. “A part of my heart flew today. I will miss everything about you, Christine McVie. Memories abound… they fly to me.
Lead singer of Fleetwood Mac stevie nick he also dedicated an Instagram post to the late musician. “A few hours ago I was informed that my best friend in the whole world from day one in 1975 had passed away,” the 74-year-old musician said in a handwritten note. “I didn’t even know she was sick…until late Saturday night. I wanted to be in London; I wanted to get to London, but they told us to wait. So since Saturday, one song has been spinning in my head, over and over again.

Stevie continued: “I thought I could sing for her, so now I sing for her. I always knew I’d need those words one day.” She then she wrote the lyrics to haim‘Hallelujah’, song from 2019.
