The pandemic has caused separation anxiety problems in many pets, according to data from the Royal Canine Society of Spain (RSCE). After getting used to spending most of the time together due to closure and teleworking, there are many animals afraid of separation. And puppies growing up in this scenario are accustomed to a bond that a return to normal makes it impossible for many to maintain.
First of all, make it clear hyper-attachment and separation anxiety issues take time and effort. Pets are facing a complete life change and I recommend hiring a professional trainer to run a training program. It will be a big expense, but it will be worth it. And they are the only ones trained to handle each case individually and treat the flaws that each pet develops. In my case, my dog had a really bad time and his stress showed himself by barking and breaking things.
And because the adaptation to changing routines is long, my solution was to use the Amazon Echo Show speaker. This device is used for so much more than listening to music, training or looking up recipes, and it can help us a lot in monitoring our babies and making sure they are doing well.
With this, you can always see and hear your pet, communicate with him to calm him down or scold him, and even put white noise on it if you notice that sounds outside the house frighten him. We won’t be able to be with our life partners all day, but using the Echo Show is one way to go.

To do this, you must first enable the home surveillance feature on the speaker. Say “Go to settings” or swipe down from the top of the screen and select settings, then camera, then home surveillance.
After enabling this, you will be able to access the live video from your mobile. Tap the camera tile on the Smart Home dashboard and select the Echo Show you want to watch live video from. (To access live video with audio, say the Echo Show device name followed by “Show me.”)
Once inside the video, you can turn the speaker and microphone on and off, double-tap to zoom in, pinch-to-zoom out, and move the camera by swiping left or right on the screen.

A message will appear on the speaker screen indicating that a family member is online. If you feel bad, you can turn off the camera when you finish using it, the speaker has an integrated cover. Amazon also has an audio alert function that alerts you that you’re being watched, and a video delay that lets you leave the speaker’s line of sight if you don’t want to appear on the air. Live video from the camera is not recorded.
Click “play” from the Alexa app to play music. You can choose a recently played song or choose to browse the music. It will ask you to select your device or speaker pair and you can control playback and volume by selecting the bar at the bottom of the screen.

Alexa home monitoring feature it works no matter how far away you are. The only downside is that it doesn’t have a night camera, so if you don’t have natural light in your home, you’ll have to leave the lights on. Or get yourself a smart lighting system and ask Alexa to turn it on when needed.
To finish, press stop and Request!
