Radio broadcaster Sami Lukis shared the news that his beloved dog Lolli passed away this week.
On Tuesday, the 51-year-old confirmed on Instagram that the nearly 16-year-old dog “died in his arms” after falling ill for some time seven days ago.
In a statement alongside a photo of the couple, Sami said, “My heart is broken.

My dear Lolli, you have struggled a lot over the past few years, but your little body could no longer fight and now finally rest in peace.
“The pain of your loss is unbearable and I still cannot understand my life without you. But I know that being your mother has been the greatest honor of my life.
“Thank you for the love and loyalty you have brought into my world every day since we met nearly 16 years ago.”

He captioned the photo, “My dear Lolli, you have struggled a lot in the last years but your little body could not fight anymore and now finally rest in peace”.
Sami went on to say that all of his friends knew the little dog was “the love of my life” and had “the sweetest and kindest soul”.
“We’ve known for a long time that you were seriously ill, so I loved every moment with you, quietly fearing that each day could be my last,” she continued.
“I kept praying for a miracle, hoping that somehow he would live for many more years.

“The pain of your loss is unbearable and I still cannot understand my life without you. But I know that being your mother was the greatest honor of my life,” she added (pictured).
“But now the worst has happened, I realize it doesn’t matter how long I live because it would never be enough.”
He concluded by saying that having Lolli in his life was “such a gift”.
“You really were the best girl in the world. I’ve loved you all my life,” she said.
“And now I will miss you terribly for the rest of me. Thank you for choosing me to be your mother.
