‘She’s a natural up there’: Nadine Coyle congratulates former bandmate Cheryl on her ‘amazing performance’ in 2:22 A Ghost Story

Nadine Coyle finally visited her boyfriend Cheryl in 2:22 A Ghost Story after she was absent from the paranormal drama’s press night.

The singer, 37, took to Instagram to congratulate her former Girls Aloud bandmate, 39, after an “incredible performance”.

She wrote: “I saw Cheryl Jenny play in the West End last night. She’s a natural up there. So great to see!!

“Max Dundas told me before we went it was a bit scary! Well, that was an understatement! I’m still not over it today!

Well done Cheryl, good luck with the rest of the run but you don’t have to! I advise anyone going on not to drink any fluids or you and everyone around you will be soaked!’

The star beamed as she arrived in style at the Lyric Theater in London’s West End.

Nadine wore a studded beige trench coat and blue jeans, teamed with a pair of black boots as she accessorized with a YSL crossbody bag.

The beauty tied her blonde locks in a low ponytail and opted for a natural makeup palette.

Nadine beamed from ear to ear as she walked past a promotional photo of her boyfriend before the show.

She let her followers know where she was and also took to her Instagram story on Tuesday night to share a photo outside the theater.

Cheryl made her West End debut in February alongside Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh, but Nadine was noticeably absent from the show.

Although a viewing seat was reserved for the star, she was reportedly “too scared” to take part in the haunted house-based thriller.

After coming up from the front row to cheer Cheryl on, Kimberley confirmed that Nadine should also be there as they planned to support her bandmate together.

On the programme, she told The Mirror: “It’s a shame that Nadine is not here. she would come She really doesn’t like anything scary.’

While a theater source added to the publication, “Nadine would sit in the second row between Kimberley and Nicola.

“They planned to show up as a group to support Cheryl. Instead, she sent a message of congratulations.”

Kimberley and Nicola cheered with Cheryl for post-performance snaps, which saw the new stage star in tears, before spending time together at the after-party.

She received a standing ovation after her performance, in which she played the lead role of Jenny – a woman who is convinced her house is haunted – who takes over from former star Laura Whitmore.

And Cheryl’s foray into acting seems to have paid off, judging by the rave reviews from critics for her performance at the press night – calling her a “class act”.

Cheryl and Nadine have been friends for a long time since appearing together in Girls Aloud, which formed in 2002.

But the two tended to create confusion about their friendship as reports often circulated that they did not get along in the group.

Nadine previously blamed the rest of the girls for the group’s split – she even insisted that Cheryl was never a friend.

Despite being a bridesmaid at Cheryl’s wedding to footballer Ashley Cole in 2006, Nadine claimed they were never friends.

Speaking to Celebrity Juice in 2018, Nadine said: “There were no fights, there was just no friendship.”

But Nadine later backtracked and claimed that she and Cheryl were good friends and always had been.
