Sir Rod Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster have announced that they have signed their favorite teapot and donated it to a charity auction.

The singer (78) posed with his model partner (52) and their beloved porcelain ornament when he made the announcement on Instagram on Tuesday.

He wrote: “Fancy a cup of tea? We’ve donated our favorite teapot to @SmileTrainUK’s famous TEE auction to help fund life-saving treatments for children in need with clefts around the world.

The auction was launched today to mark the start of Smile Train’s annual fundraiser, the #BigSmileTeaParty, which encourages people to donate the price of a cup of tea and have a tea party with friends and family to celebrate important to collect donations that a child’s life forever.

Earlier that day, Rod was seen flying to New Zealand with Penny and her sons Alastair and Aiden on Tuesday.

He recently wrapped up his Australian tour with Cyndi Lauper and Jon Stevens despite a sore throat during the visit.

The London-born singer rocked a preppy look at Sydney International Airport, wearing a cream sweater with black detailing over white skinny jeans.

He paired it with a pair of high-style white Converse sneakers while using a white umbrella as a walking stick.

Rod’s stunning wife showed off her legs as she donned tiny pinstriped shorts with kitten heels and a long-sleeved white shirt to ward off the cold.

Proving she doesn’t always go for designer names, the model-turned-police officer accessorized with a brown Zara handbag, while using a separate black bag for her carry-on.

Rod recently revealed that Penny will serve as a police officer at the King’s Coronation concert in the grounds of Windsor Castle in May.

Penny applied to become a special agent after appearing on the reality TV show Famous and Fighting Crime, where she joined Agents in the Beat.

At one point during filming, she was confronted by a drug dealer who threatened to stab her.

The mother-of-two, who married Sir Rod in 2007, said the experience inspired her to become a police officer.

Meanwhile, Rod angered fans earlier this month when he canceled his show in Geelong three hours before the stage when he suffered a bout of sore throat.

However, the star later returned to the city during his tour to do a makeup show for fans who held their tickets.
