Rapper Tekashi6xine9 was “beaten to a pulp” and humiliated in front of fellow gym goers at an LA Fitness in Miami last night, five years after he broke ranks to testify against gang mates and Cardi B.
The artist was attacked by a group of men as he tried to leave the health club, who later bragged about the attack on social media.
In videos that spread the Internet, they called him a “rat” who will not be tolerated in their “hoodie”.
The severity of his injuries is not yet known and it is unclear whether any of the men involved have been arrested.
As he kicked and punched him, he could be heard shouting at the others: “Take a picture, take a picture – I’m going to be famous.”
It is unclear what caused the attack, but Tekashi has no shortage of enemies; In 2018, he was labeled a “snitch” after testifying for prosecutors against the likes of the Bloods gang and Cardi B.
In videos circulating online, the attackers called him a “rat” who will not be tolerated in their “hood”.

The artist was “beaten to death” in the trap, his lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, told TMZ. He had no security on hand at the time, but did his best to defend himself
He took a deal to reduce his own sentence after being charged with a series of crimes and serving just two years behind bars.

Tekashi 69 was arrested in 2018 on suspicion of armed robbery, attempted murder, extortion and possession of firearms
Tekashi was sentenced to a minimum sentence of 47 years and a maximum of life in prison when he was arrested in 2018 on charges of racketeering, possession of firearms, armed robbery and attempted murder.
It was part of a wider crackdown on New York gangs that saw nine members of the same gang arrested.
He quickly abandoned his co-defendants, instead striking a deal with prosecutors and agreeing to be their key witness.
In court, he took the stand to describe the inner workings of the gang and his own rise through it.
“We participated in many crimes. Robberies, robberies, drugs,” he said.
As a result, Anthony Ellison – one of his co-accused – was sentenced to 24 years in prison.
Tekashi was sentenced to two years in prison in December 2019.
At that point he had already completed 13 months.

The rapper quickly cut a deal with prosecutors, agreeing to testify against his gang members, some of whom went under for 24 years.

Among those accused by Tekashi in the trial was rapper Cardi B. She was not charged
He was released in early April 2020 and was allowed to remain under house arrest for the remainder of his sentence.
He called for the release of correctional officers due to fears of contracting COVID behind bars.
Since then, he has done little to keep a low profile.
He still flaunts money and women on social media, where he has more than 24 million followers, and still makes music.

After testifying against gang members in front of the government in 2018, the rapper was labeled a “spy” and his security team was beefed up
Last month, he was featured in an Instagram post showing off a metal briefcase with stacks of cash.
He was kicked out of Miami’s LoanDepot Park on Friday for creating a scene while “heavily intoxicated,” a source told Page Six.
“He was very drunk and disrupted the experience of other guests,” the source said. “He was drunk, he was drunk and he was out of control.
There were a lot of families last night and he harassed people.’
He attended the World Baseball Classic ball game between Puerto Rico and Mexico.
In August 2022, his longtime girlfriend Rachel Wattley was arrested in Miami after hitting him several times at Miami hotspot Kiki on the River.
