Kyle Sandilands and fellow Australian Idol Harry Connick Jr. continued their high-profile beef on Sunday’s episode of the singing competition.
The pair exchanged barbs as they argued over the nominees when it was revealed the top six will be subject to a public vote before the final episode.
While radio star Kyle insisted the singers chose songs viewers would love, Harry encouraged them to challenge themselves and take risks.
Kyle slammed the singers for deciding, “Oh, let’s do something else,” toward the end of the game, saying it “freaked out” him.
Harry replied that Kyle “respectfully” didn’t understand what he was talking about.

“I get it. You’re turning up in a Ferrari, not a Datsun with some magnetic wheels on it,” Kyle interjected, before warning the singers not to try to “impress” Harry, but rather thinking of the audience.
“This is a place where you sing to win. You win the record deal, then you throw carefree fairytale parties,” he emphasized.
Kyle recently revealed his “feud” with the American crooner on the reality show.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Sandilands (51) stressed that the rivalry between the two is real.
“They are not policemen. There really is no drama. It’s like, you know, if someone just doesn’t like you, can you tell? he explained.

“Maybe it’s because he doesn’t run around praising me, which I don’t expect him to do like with a wink, but he’s on one side and I’m on the other.”
Sandilands insisted he doesn’t “hate” the singer, but suggested they aren’t close because they “don’t really get to spend a lot of time together.”
“It’s flat. I’m super busy. It’s not a rivalry or drama… It’s just not as close as me and Meghan (Trainor).
Sandilands and Connick Jr. will join local pop sensation Amy Shark and American hitmaker Meghan Trainor on the Australian Idol judging panel.

Sandilands previously revealed that he and Connick jr. had a big “explosion” on the phone and that the two are no longer on speaking terms.
Speaking to KIIS FM stablemates Will and Woody, Sandilands said he felt Connick Jr never liked him, so things were “tingly” between them from the start.
The rivalry came to a head when Sandiland’s Connick Jr.
“I just thought ‘what a flop’ and hung up. That was it. Friendship over,” Sandilands said.
The two are no longer on speaking terms, and it’s unclear whether the series of judges will affect any of their future appearances on the show.
