About 10 months after the separation, Paul finally filed for divorce from Ines in mid-February, citing irreconcilable differences.
Paul (40), who became a Hollywood heartthrob in The Vampire Diaries, will represent himself in the case, reports Us Weekly.
After her marriage broke up, Ines started a relationship with Brad, who started dating her late last year.
Brad, still embroiled in a bitter custody battle with his second ex-wife Angelina Jolie, would take Ines seriously.
An Us Weekly insider said, “Brad definitely likes her and while things are still relatively new, he definitely sees long-term potential in their relationship.”
The source added that she was a “huge hit” with his friends and that the nearly three-decade age gap “isn’t a problem for any of them.”
An insider told DailyMail.com that Brad received “romantic advice about his new relationship” from his happily married boyfriend, George Clooney.
