The 38-year-old A Very British Scandal star looked worlds away from her real looks as she wore a mauve sweater and black pants on her way out.

Claire, who played the Duchess of Argyll in the latest BBC1 television series, looked relaxed in sunglasses as she refueled her car at a gas station.

The actress carried a black shoulder bag, a turquoise water bottle and phone.

Claire styled her straight brunette tresses while opting for a fresh face as she stepped out to grab some basics.

Her attempts at being unrecognized were completely out of character, as she avoided social media and only got a glimpse into her life in rare interviews.

The second season of the show revolves around the character of Margaret Campbell, the Duchess of Argyll, known to the press as the “dirty duchess” when Claire gets involved in a sex scandal.

During Good Morning America, Claire revealed she wondered if the series was much different than it is today.

She explains: “It’s really interesting to see this and how the media and maybe the justice system treats women, it’s really interesting to see if things have changed now.”

He continued to joke that he had “trained” co-star Paul on how to be real for “months” after his experience on The Crown.
