The producers of Married at First Sight have long been accused of making drama.
And the show’s newest couple, Tayla Winter and Hugo Armstrong, have made several claims that seem to prove the theory.
In a behind-the-scenes video leaked on MAFS Gossip’s Instagram page, the intruding pair claim everything you see on screen is “highly focused”.
“We can only do anything of importance in the presence of [the camera crew] while they see what we say. It’s really funny,” says Hugo.
Tayla agreed, adding: “We couldn’t talk [privately]. We are being checked whether we are really talking.’
Married couple Tayla and Hugo claimed in a leaked behind-the-scenes video that they were “very orchestrated” and were not allowed to speak to each other without cameras in the room
“We’re very focused on what we have to say, and filming doesn’t stop because we’re being held accountable for the characters we’re meant to be.”
Hugo also claimed that Tayla is “not that mean” when portrayed on the dating show.
The leaked video follows an unfortunate editing error from last Monday’s episode of the dating show.
During Tayla and Hugo’s wedding, observant fans noticed that the guest walking the bride down the aisle was wearing earplugs in his left ear.
Although the device was hidden, it became visible when he turned his head to the side as he led Tayla to her new groom.
Reality stars often wear earplugs during filming so they can take cues from producers.

“Everything essential we have to do right in front of them while they see what we say. It’s really funny,” says Hugo

Married At First Sight viewers also noticed another awkward detail, which suggests the hit Channel Nine show is scripted.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed Harrison Boon holding the collar of his shirt and speaking to producers through his lapel microphone during Wednesday’s dinner.
A slow-motion video of the moment was shared by MAFS fan account @mafs.bachie.reality on Thursday.
“Harrison speaks into his microphone. He’s probably saying, ‘Get out of here,'” the caption reads.
Former MAFS contestant Jackson Lonie, who appeared in season 9, said it was more likely Harrison simply told producers he needed the bathroom.
