Shania Twain spoke candidly this week about being comfortable in her own body while embracing natural aging.
The 57-year-old singer admitted she was against cosmetic surgery and instead found ways to love her own skin rather than change it.
But it wasn’t easy, as she remembers struggling with self-confidence over the years.
Since starting to perform on stage at the age of eight, the Queen Of Country Pop has had to contend with her evolving body changes while in the spotlight.
Speaking to The Mirror during the trip, Shania recalled considering a breast reduction when they were growing up as teenagers – but she’s “glad” she never went through with it.

Shania admitted that she sometimes chose to turn off the light in her bedroom because she didn’t like her reflection.
But she opted for a confident nude photo shoot to get her mojo back. She remembers that she “forced” through time to come out successful.
The singer told The Mirror: “I say look in the mirror and it’s good. I’m just getting older and weaker – if I hate myself now, what state will I be in five or ten years?’
Shania started singing at a young age to provide for her family and went on to say that she struggled with her changing body as a youngster.
“When I was a teenager, my breasts got so big. I couldn’t stop her from bouncing, so I had to tie her up and wear two bras and loose clothes,” she explained.
Continues: “I just didn’t want those breasts and thought I wanted a breast reduction, but they settled in. I thought, ‘It’s a good thing I didn’t. That’s how I suppose is to look.”
The star always looks sensational in eye-catching ensembles when she’s on stage and doesn’t let age weaken her fashion sense.
While Shania has previously been open about her self-love journey, last year she admitted to embracing her “menopausal body”.

The singer told The Mirror: “I say look in the mirror and it’s good. I’m just getting older and weaker – if I hate myself now, what state will I be in five or ten years?
She even took the plunge and decided to go topless for the cover of her album Waking Up Dreaming, which was released on September 23.
And after speaking to People about the bold move, the Don’t Impress Me Much singer exclaimed: “I’m more comfortable in my own skin than I’ve ever been.”
“I embrace my body as it changes, as I should have from childhood through my teenage years, from my fit 20s and 30s to my menopausal body.” I have no shame about this.
“I want to be brave and share that courage [album] Artworks I direct. Here I express my truth and feel comfortable in my own skin. So I share that confidence,” she concluded.
