Vicki Michelle has joined the cast of EastEnders and will star as Brian Conley’s wife Jo Cotton.
The 72-year-old actress, best known for her role as Yvette Carte-Blanche in the BBC series Allo! “Hello!” was photographed in Albert Square for the first time on Friday.
Producers have announced that Vicki has already started filming and will appear on screen in two episodes next month.
Her character Jo married Rocky more than 25 years ago, but their arrival could spell trouble for the car dealer, who is currently engaged to Kathy Beale.
Now that the truth about his marital status is out, viewers of the soap will have to wait and see how Rocky will react.

Joining the show, Vicki said: “I’m so excited to be on EastEnders and everyone has been so lovely.
Jo Cotton is a great character and it’s such a great story. I can’t wait for the public to meet her.”
Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer added: “We are delighted to welcome the hugely talented Vicki to the EastEnders family as she brings the character of Jo Cotton to life.
“Vicki is perfectly suited to embrace the elusive nature of Rocky’s wife, about whom we know very little.
“Dignified, quick and extremely glamorous, Jo looks like her long-lost husband Rocky, and as you’d expect, she’s immediately thrown into the heart of the drama when she arrives in Walford.”
It comes after EastEnders fans saw a never-before-seen flash-forward scene from the mystery Christmas Day episode, in which the Walford leads stand over a dead man.
On Monday night, the iconic London soap focused solely on the storylines of the square’s matriarchs.

Since they were the last stragglers in the bar after the last orders were drunk, Linda agreed to a lock-up and the six women began toasting “the men in our lives”.
Sharon begins by telling her friends, “To those who give us false hope and security,” and Stacey adds, “To those who try to undermine us.”
Linda says, “To those who hurt us,” while Denise replies, “Those who play with our hearts.”
Kathy says, “Those who take us for granted… and I’ve had a few,” and Suki adds, “Those who try to keep us in the shadows.”

All six women repeat Sharon’s final statement and toast their drinks – before the scene ends and fans watch the flash forward.
With Queen Vic decked out in beautiful Christmas floral arrangements and a well-lit festive tree throughout, the camera pans around to reveal Linda walking into the bar with a shocked look on her face.
Next, the audience is shown the body of an unknown man wearing black pants and a white shirt.
