Married At First Sight stars are known for monetizing their 15 minutes of fame as Instagram influencers.
But sadly for the newlyweds this year, Channel Nine bosses did their best to avoid starting a career on social media right away.
While in previous seasons, participants saved their Instagram accounts within two weeks of the finale, this year is different.

“They will not resume their social networks until May after the show airs in the UK,” an insider told Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday.
The source said that as the ninth season continues to air in New Zealand and Great Britain, there was “a lot of pressure on Nine to keep the cast from going rogue”.
If they get caught going into the press for their “terrible changes,” it’s another chance to hostage their blue tick,” he added.

Once MAFS players gain access to their Instagram accounts, engagement levels will drop significantly, impacting potential earnings.
While the show airs, contestants can write their own captions on photos provided by Nine’s advertising team, but that’s the permissible scope of social media activity.
Comments on their posts are also disabled and players aren’t allowed to read their direct messages, and that’s how sponsors communicate with them.

Not satisfied: The disgruntled bride told the Daily Mail Australia that some attendees are “concerned” that when they get their bills back it will be “old news”.

‘We’re stuck. Some people have quit their jobs and are hoping that MAFS will have a great chance of never having to work again”.

“I have a feeling this year is going to be a numbers game and some girls bought fake followers to stand out,” the unnamed bride added.
“It’s so obvious who he is that he gained 28,000 followers overnight for two nights, while everyone else gained a few thousand followers.
“We really have two or three months to grow before the new roster arrives and we’ve forgotten that.”
Meanwhile, another bride openly claimed that MAFS’ social team punished them by not posting photos on their behalf for violating the contract.
‘selina’ [Mengu] They’ve been away from the show for a few weeks and have been posting on his behalf, but the others turned it down, whatever it was. This is not fair,” he said.
Daily Mail Australia reached out to Channel Nine for comment.
