Sean Stewart shocked his family by announcing in an impromptu ceremony that he married TV producer Jody Weintraub.
The couple tied the knot in Las Vegas on Valentine’s Day when Sean – who was recently hospitalized after a horrific road accident – proposed over a romantic meal and the couple made things official just hours later.
The couple, who have known each other since high school, apparently tied the knot in their usual attire at the Little Church of the West.
According to PEOPLE, Sean wore jeans and a YSL sweater, while the bride donned a black cashmere jumpsuit for the ceremony.
While it’s not clear how long the two have been together, they’ve kept in touch since they were teenagers thanks to a mutual friend, producer Courtenay Semel.

Jody is the daughter of the late Hollywood producer Jerry Weintraub and has a five-year-old son from her first marriage who is said to be a “huge fan” of Sean.
A source told the publication: “They are both very family oriented people. They both have famous families, they just get along.”
After Sean proposed, he reportedly called his mother, Alana, on the way to the courthouse, but Alana didn’t think he meant it.
The insider revealed that after the family photos from the event were sent, Alana was in tears and “so happy for him,” while “his dad was so happy with the news.”
The newlyweds celebrated their wedding in Los Angeles with Sean’s parents as the group went out for dinner Nobu in Malibu.
Alana was Rod’s first wife and they married in 1979 but divorced five years later. In addition to Sean, the couple has daughter Kimberly (43).
Alana documented the dinner on Instagram, writing: “Happy birthday to my boy @seanstewart and his beautiful bride @jody_weintraubstewart who surprised us all with an impromptu wedding in Las Vegas.

Sean’s bumpy past has been well documented, but in 2015 he insisted he was back on track and not flying off the track.
“It’s a completely blank slate,” Sean told Daily Mail Australia. “I couldn’t see myself getting involved in anything involving drugs or alcohol at this point in my life, you know, it’s not even a flash in the pan,” he added.
Sean has previously made headlines with a spate of arrests and his drug battles, but thanks to an appearance on TV show Celebrity Rehab, he said he is now excited to wake up in the morning.
“The truth is, I’m so over it [that lifestyle]and so on,” he told Daily Mail Australia.
“It’s been a few decades since my life was like this and it’s so nice now because I wake up in the morning and I turn on when I’m boxing, get my heart rate up and my endorphins pumping.”
“And then I get a juice,” he said. “I am in such a new chapter in my life where my primary concern is my health and well-being. I feel good, I feel healthy.”
In 2002 he served 90 days in jail for assaulting a man outside a nightclub, and five years later he was kicked out of an LA party and assaulted a couple with a brick.
He was also arrested in 2010 after a traffic violation and subsequently had a warrant for his arrest.
Despite promising to turn over a new leaf, Sean found himself in trouble with the law again in 2021.
However, the charges against Sean and his father Rod were later dropped, and the couple avoided jail time for assaulting a security guard on New Year’s Eve.
Rod and his son Sean have avoided jail and a potentially embarrassing trial set to begin in September 2021 for their role in the Palm Beach luxury resort fight.
DailyMail.com exclusively announced in September 2021 that Sir Rod’s legal team had reached a settlement with prosecutors under which Stewart and his son would not plead to the simple battery charge.
The father and son were each charged with a felony after the fiery Rod died on the night of March 31.
In exchange for her plea, the singer and his son escaped conviction, criminal records and time behind bars, her attorney Guy Fronstin said.

Mom-to-be Ruby and fiance Jake Kalick threw a party with cake, a raw food bar and improvised music by Rod singing What A Wonderful World with fellow great Harold Kalick.
Ruby and her husband Jake posed at the party with their parents, Kelly and Harold, Ruby’s famous father, Rod, and mother, Kelly, who is now married to US Senator Mike Padilla.
Ruby later wrote about the event: “I woke up this morning, my face hurt from laughing and my heart was full.

Rod’s second party comes days after his son Sean married Jody Weintraub after a romantic Valentine’s Day in Vegas.
Jody changed her Instagram last name to Weintraub Stewart and spent Valentine’s Day in Vegas at the Wynn Hotel with Sean when the two got married.
