List of Art Directors Guild Award Winners – Updated live

The 27th annual Art Directors Guild Awards will be presented tonight at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown and Deadline will notify the winners once they are announced. Check out the list below.

The early Hollywood epic directed by Damien Chazelle Babylon won the Period Feature Film Award, the first of the best film awards. The film was nominated for three Oscars.

The show opened with the presentation of the William Cameron Menzies Award to Guillermo del Toro, who in his acceptance speech emphasized the importance of community and collaboration. del Toros soon followed Pinocchio Cartoon winner.

Yvette Nicole Brown hosts tonight’s ADG Awards, which recognize excellence in production design and artistic direction in 14 categories spanning motion pictures, television, commercials and music videos. Since the guild launched its trophy show in 1996, one of the grand prize winners – for Fantasy, Period or Contemporary film – has won or has won the Art Direction/Production Design Oscar in 18 of the 26 years, including the last nine in a row. Winner of last year’s ADG fantasy film dune received the Academy Award.

Next month, the teams will compete for the Production Design Oscar All Quiet on the Western Front, Avatar: The Way of the Water, Babylon, Elvis And The Fables. All of this qualifies for an ADG Historical Feature Film Award, except avatar, in the fantasy category.

Tonight’s screening honors producing partners Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin with the Cinematic Imagery Award by Nicole Kidman and Guillermo del Toro with the William Cameron Menzies Award presented by Peter Ramsey. The 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award winners are set designer Luis G, Hoyos, production designer Lilly Kilvert, graphic designer Michael Denner. Natacha Rambova and Terence Marsh were posthumously inducted into the ADG Hall of Fame.

ADG awards are open only to productions produced in the United States by producers who have signed the IATSE Agreement. Foreign entries are allowed without restrictions.
