She took to Instagram just before Thanksgiving, shared a photo of herself with Fraser and praised him in the film.
“It’s no secret that I’ve loved Brendan Fraser for a long time. And I always knew he was one of the greatest actors of all time,” Gellar began.
“I had the honor of seeing him perform on @thewhalemov this week and as you can tell from my tear stained face in these photos I was blown away,” she added.

Fraser last starred in the HBO Max series Doom Patrol, playing Cliff Steele.
He also stars in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, which is in post-production and is expected to be released later this year.
