Playboi Carti ‘Strangled His Pregnant Girlfriend’ After ‘Arguing Over Taking Paternity Test’ … As Rapper Arrested For Aggravated Assault

Playboi Carti has been arrested for allegedly strangling his pregnant girlfriend after she tried to talk to him about a paternity test.

The alleged attack happened on December 20 when she was 14 weeks pregnant, TMZ reported.

The woman claimed she was in a two-year relationship with the rapper and had been living with him since July 2022, when the incident allegedly happened.

Their discussion about a paternity test escalated into an argument and then a physical assault, leading to his arrest for aggravated assault.

The woman told police a witness tried to break up the alleged fight and when she managed to get away from Playboi, she ran to her car to escape.

He allegedly tried to pull her out of the car and put his hand over her mouth while she tried to press the car’s SOS function to call the police, the outlet reported.

She reportedly had visible injuries to her chest, back and neck and the rapper was arrested for aggravated assault.

Brian Steel, Playboi’s lawyer, said: “Mr. Carter was falsely accused. According to my communications with the Fulton County Attorney’s Office, this case is being dismissed without charges or trial,” via TMZ.

Playboi Carti, born Jordan Carter, has a son named Onyx Kelly, three, with rapper Iggy Azalea, 32.

Iggy was born Amethyst Amelia Kelly and gave birth to Onyx in June 2020. The former lovebirds were in a relationship from December 2018 until their split in December 2019.

They met when he was traveling abroad.
