The actress, who is newly single after ending a two-year romance with musician Michael Shuman, left London’s Soho House in the early hours after the launch of new romantic comedy What’s Love Got To Do With It?
James, 33, wore the same bright green evening gown she had chosen for her red carpet appearance earlier that night as she tangled with an unidentified male companion after leaving the venue.
She paired the outfit with a long lemon yellow coat as the pair walked to a waiting chauffeur-driven Mercedes.
The actress attended an after-party following the red carpet premiere of her latest movie, a multicultural rom-com released just in time for Valentine’s Day.

James and Queens Of The Stone Age musician Shuman, 37, have taken some time off from their relationship after growing apart in recent months, according to The Sun.
The couple were first linked in February 2021 after they were spotted kissing outside a boutique hotel in Suffolk while singing What’s Love Got To Do With It?
They then made their red carpet debut at the 94th Annual Academy Awards on March 27, 2022.
A source told the publication, “Lily and Michael have grown apart over the past few months and have now decided to end their relationship.
“They just didn’t get it together as a couple, but both wish each other the best for the future.”

The actress’ relationship with Shuman initially came as a shock to fans of the couple, as Lily is known for her family-friendly roles in Downton Abbey, Cinderella and Mamma Mia.
