In addition to the many humorous jokes that flooded social media, there was an outpouring of heartfelt congratulations for the Grammy-winning icon.
Perhaps the sweetest and most surprising message came from Rihanna’s ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, who posted a simple message on his Instagram story that read: “GO GIRL.”
Brown placed the words against a purple background and added red heart and praying hand emojis.
One star was Cardi B, who cheered Rihanna on from her seat in the stands.
And Zendaya was left speechless by the hitmaker’s revelation, posting a photo on her Instagram story that left her looking stunned.

But not everyone was over the moon, as one fan lamented a possible delay in Rihanna’s next album, captioning a photo with a bitter expression and writing, “I realize Rihanna is pregnant again and we will never again” don’t get an album.”

Rihanna stuck to her hits and didn’t reveal any new songs during her 12-song performance. She got the crowd going as she transitioned into Where Have You Been, followed by the hit song Only Girl (In The World).
“We Found Love”, “Rude Boy” and their hit “Work” followed, although their collaborator Drake did not appear on the later track. She followed up with Wild Thoughts and Pour It Up.
The hitmaker made some controversial song choices, including a snippet of her verse from rapper Kanye West’s All Of The Lights, and she also sang a snippet of Jay-Z’s Run This Town, which West also featured in the original rendered version.
