Days of Our Lives actor Cody Longo has died at the age of 34.
The soap star’s body was apparently discovered by authorities in the bed of a home in Austin, Texas on Wednesday, reports TMZ.
According to the report, Longo’s wife, Stephanie, was concerned about his whereabouts and called the police for a social check when she later found him dead.
The actor is known for briefly playing the character Nicholas Alamain in the hit soap opera in 2011.
His wife works at a local dance studio and became concerned when she couldn’t reach her husband, who reportedly struggled with alcohol abuse.
Authorities arrived at the scene and kicked in the door when Longo did not answer. They found him dead in the bedroom.

A family member told TMZ the actor struggled with alcohol abuse for years and recently checked into rehab.
An official cause of death has not yet been released.
His wife reportedly told the website: “He was a wonderful father and the best husband. Our whole world is broken.”
The actor is survived by his wife, a seven-year-old daughter, a five-year-old son and a one-year-old boy.

Born on March 4, 1988 in Littleton, Colorado, Longo began his career in the entertainment industry by appearing in several music videos before making his screen debut in the 2008 film Ball Don’t Lie.
He then made his first appearance on the small screen in an episode of Medium that aired the following year.
The late artist appeared in supporting roles in several films over the next few years, including Fame and Bring It On: Fight to the Finish.
The actor later made several appearances as Nicky Russo in the teen drama series Make It Or Break It.
Longo appeared as Nicholas Alain in eight episodes of Days of our Lives, all of which aired in 2011.
The character’s role was previously played by Erik von Detten and Victor Webster.
The artist also appeared in two episodes of CSI: NY that aired the same year.
The late actor’s longest running role was on the family drama series Hollywood Heights, which premiered and ended in 2012.

Longo’s last appearance in a film was in Starting Up Love, which was released in 2019.
The actor also lent his voice to the 2020 Apple Podcast series High School Crimes & Misdemeanors.
However, that same year he was arrested for domestic violence after allegedly arguing with his wife.
Longo pleaded guilty to a felony charge in 2021 after being accused of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl.
